About Extra Hand – history and qualifications

Gai Tibbits has all the experience to deliver what she promises:

• Raised in the country so not a stranger to hard work
• Trained as an Enrolled Nurse at Biloela Hospital
• Privately nursed a terminal cancer patient
• Two years nursing at St Andrew’s Hospital in Brisbane
• 26 years as a Flight Attendant with TAA, Australian Airlines, Qantas
• 4 years working as a Nanny in private homes whilst backpacking around Canada and England.  She’s also travelled around the USA, Ireland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Finland and Norway
• Certificate of Counselling
• Blue Card.

Personal experience led this vivacious, adventurous lady to establish Extra Hand.  Gai became seriously ill shortly after her Mum passed away and there was no-one to help her make meals and change the sheets.
